 Philip Kincaid  of  Derry

Philip is a young man totally dedicated to involvement in Special Olympics.  He has been involved since 1985 and is presently both volunteering and training with Foyle Special Olympics Club where he takes part in ten pin bowling.  Philip has represented Special Olympics in the United States as part of the basketball team, and will this year be part of Team Ulster taking part in Belfast this month.  His basketball coach believes that he gives 100% to any activities in which he is involved.  As well as being an athlete Philip is a volunteer with his club and he has recently taken on the role of Treasurer for the Ulster ALPs team.

Outside of Special Olympics activities, Philip works as a gardener at Sow ‘n’ Grow in the grounds of Gransha Hospital.  He is engaged and intends to get married next year.
