Silver Anniversary Dinner Recently members of the William Keown Trust gathered with friends, supporters and members of district and borough councils who have supported their work throughout the years to celebrate 25 years of the Trust’s existence. Mr David Hanna MBE, chair of the William Keown Trust’s Board of Directors extended a warm welcome to all the mayors, chairmen and guests who had travelled to celebrate the Trust “making a difference” in the community for the last quarter of a century Mr Hanna said he was limited in what he wanted to say in respect of Bill Keown, the founder of the William Keown Trust, who had the vision, concern and thoughtfulness for others in promoting a caring and accessible environment as he was a humble and unassuming person who neither courted or wanted admiration or praise so he would keep his tribute short and concise. Bill then joined Trust President Kate Smith of UTV in cutting the cake marking the 25th anniversary of the Trust. The guests were entertained by the well-known local comedian Gene Fitzpatrick.
