Hasn't 2004 been a  year to remember?

On 2nd October Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act came into force. The William Keown Trust together with other organisations continue working intensively to take advantage of this opportunity and to advance the disability agenda.  We look forward  to seeing  tangible results come out of 2004: new proposals, new legislation and new partnerships.  People with disabilities are citizens with equal rights. They are active as politicians, workers, consumers, tax payers. New measures and active involvement from all sectors should lead to a positive change in the way our societies include people with disabilities.  2004 shall be the start of a new era, a new way in which society will look at people with disabilities.
